Her work has won numerous awards and distinctions: Prix de la révélation chorégraphique from the Syndicat de la critique française in 2009, Prix Jardin d'Europe in 2010, Chevalier de l'ordre des arts et des lettres in 2015.
In 2010, she created her first piece Professor, a choreographic work for three performers set to music by Fausto Romitelli. In 2011, she created Poetry, the second part of a diptych based on Fausto Romitelli. In 2012, she initiated "To Bang on a Can", a research and creation project featuring three pieces and various artistic projects over four years (2012-2015). Ominous Funk and Demo, based on the musical work of composers David Lang and Julia Wolfe, will be the starting point for this long-term project. In 2013, Maud Le Pladec was awarded a prize in the French Institute's Hors les Murs program, and as part of this, she carried out research in New York on the American post-minimalist music movement. This research led to the creation of Democracy, a piece for five dancers and four drummers (Ensemble TaCtuS), and Concrete (2015), a large-scale project for five dancers and nine musicians from Ensemble Ictus. In 2015, Maud Le Pladec was invited by Opéra de Lille to collaborate on the creation of Opéra Xerse (Cavalli / Lully, staging Guy Cassiers, musical direction Emmanuelle Haïm / Concert d'Astrée). That same year, she initiated a new cycle of creations revolving around women's voices, co-creating Hunted with New York performer Okwui Okpokwasili. In 2016, she worked at the Opéra National de Paris on Eliogabalo (Francesco Cavalli) with director Thomas Jolly and under the musical direction of Leonardo Garcia Alarcon. At the same time, Maud Le Pladec is associate artist at La Briqueterie - CDCN du Val de Marne and continues to dance for Boris Charmatz (Levée des conflits, Enfant, Manger, 10 000 gestes). Since January 2017, she has succeeded Josef Nadj as director of the Centre Chorégraphique National d'Orléans. Since then, she has created Moto-Cross (Les Subsistances / Biennale du Val de Marne), Je n'ai jamais eu envie de disparaître with author Pierre Ducrozet as part of Concordan(s)e, Borderline in collaboration with director Guy Cassiers and Twenty-seven perspectives for the 2018 Montpellier Danse Festival. A first collaboration with the world of cinema took shape with Valérie Donzelli and her film Notre-Dame, released in 2019. In 2021, she presented Static shot with the CCN - Ballet de Lorraine, and counting stars with you (musiques femmes), a creation dedicated to musical heritage. And in 2022, she will create Silent Legacy at the Festival d'Avignon.
