Christophe Garcia founded La Parenthèse in 2000 with a team of performers and creators from different backgrounds.
Christophe's collaborations are based on a long-term artistic project and a troupe spirit.
This permanence enables the company to flourish both humanly and artistically, and to be recognized far beyond the production and distribution of its shows.
La Parenthèse has built up a repertoire of variable-geometry creations, widely performed in France and abroad. It also transmits several pieces from its repertoire to other international companies and leading dance schools.
In addition to its creative work, La Parenthèse and its collaborators are involved in a number of projects to promote dance (festival projects, programming consultancy, health and career transition issues for dancers, etc.).
The company has built up a loyal relationship with its audiences and partners. It is also renowned for the success of its international collaborations, notably in Europe and North America, over the past fifteen years.
