The Canadian artist Kristen Céré has close to 20 years of experience as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher in Europe and North America.
Over the years, she has created pieces for companies and festivals such as Dresden SemperOper Ballet, Korzo Theater, Les Ballet Jazz de Montreal, NW Dance Project, Festival des Arts de Saint Sauveur, Festival Quartiers Danses and more. In 2006, her piece ELMER won the public’s first prize at the12th Masdanza International Choreography Competition in Spain.
Fascinated by the relationship between movement, energy, and emotions, she has developed a very personal choreographic language that creates a space in which her individuality, sensitivity, and visceral energy intersect. Her work uses this language to explore how human beings in difficult states and situations can benefit from dance on an emotional, mental, and physical level.
