KOMOCO is an Italian based Dance Company initiated by the collaboration between choreographer and performer Sofia Nappi, and her sister, violinist and composer Alice Nappi, and their shared passion for art. KOMOCO has quickly grown into a major player in the international contemporary dance scene. Its shows are directed by Sofia Nappi alongside close collaborators such as Paolo Piancastelli and Adriano Popolo Rubbio.
The name KOMOCO is a combination of the Japanese word "Komorebi," which refers to the rays of the sun that filter through the leaves of the trees creating a dance of light, and “Collab,” as they strongly believe in co-creation within different art forms and among different artists. Their goal is to share their life experiences and connect with audiences internationally through art.
