Good evening everyone,
It is with immense joy that we present Silent Legacy on this stage, a powerful work by French choreographer Maud Le Pladec.
Recently appointed director of the Centre Chorégraphique National – Ballet de Lorraine, Maud Le Pladec has also made a lasting impression as the Director of Dance for the ceremonies of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Silent Legacy is a performance at the crossroads of two distinct choreographic worlds—contemporary dance and krump. This unexpected encounter comes to life through remarkable artists: the accomplished dancer Siaska Chareyre and the 11-year-old krump prodigy from Montreal, Adeline Kerry Cruz, joined by her mentor, the renowned krumper Jr Maddripp. Together, they weave a fascinating dialogue between different generations and choreographic aesthetics.
It is an honor for us to witness these artists at work on stage as they conclude their very last tour with this production. Yes, you heard that right—Montreal is the final stop on Silent Legacy's journey, and this week’s performances will be the very last opportunity to experience it live. Let’s share this unique moment together!
Enjoy the show!
Pierre Des Marais — Artistic and Executive Director, Danse Danse.

Territorial Acknowledgement
Danse Danse acknowledges that we are gathered on the traditional and unceded territory of the Kanien’keha:ka Nation. We honour the continued presence of Indigenous peoples on the Tiohtiá:ke (Montreal) territory, which has long served as a meeting place for exchanges between nations. With respect for the links to the past, present and future, we thank the Indigenous peoples for reminding us of the importance of living in harmony with ourselves, with each other and with nature, and we are grateful for the opportunity to present works of living art at Tiohtiá:ke.
“In Silent Legacy, the aim is to continue the exploratory work initiated with counting stars with you, delving into gender sociology, heritage, and dance culture. The piece takes the form of a duet between Adeline Kerry Cruz, a young krump prodigy based in Montreal, and professional contemporary dancer Siaska Chareyre. This project questions heritage and cultural transmission. Heritage, being both a gift and a debt, is anchored in the symbolic journey of the human experience.” — Maud Le Pladec, Choreographer.
Her work has won numerous awards and distinctions: Prix de la révélation chorégraphique from the Syndicat de la critique française in 2009, Prix Jardin d'Europe in 2010, Chevalier de l'ordre des arts et des lettres in 2015.
Kevin Gohou, aka Jr Maddripp is considered one of the mentors and innovators of the Krump movement in Europe.
